We are excited to announce that the 2025 YPG Mentorship Programme is now officially open for applications. If you are looking to take your career in waste management to the next level, this is a unique opportunity to connect with leading experts and experienced professionals from across the ISWA network. You can apply until July 14th 2025 to become a mentee!

What is the YPG Mentorship Programme?
Launched in 2015, the YPG Mentorship Programme was created to bridge the gap between young professionals and ISWA’s senior experts, including members of the Board and the Scientific and Technical Committee. Through this initiative, you will have the chance to receive tailored advice on your career development, technical guidance, and insights into the latest trends and challenges in the waste management sector.

The programme is flexible and tailored to each mentor-mentee pair. You can agree on the frequency and mode of communication—whether it’s online meetings, calls, or emails. Typical topics include: career advice; technical information; networking; and, feedback on projects or applications.

Applications will be processed as they are received, and mentor allocations will be made accordingly. Please note that places are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to the mentorship team’s expertise match decision.
